Corpusty Mill, NorfolkHow does Holt Area Partnership add value?

By supporting projects in a number of ways including:

  • Helping source funds and make grant applications with partner organisations e.g. include working with Aldborough Parish Council on Playbuilder application.
  • Linking organizations to enable action or activities e.g. Holt Hall and Town Council on Peacock Wildlife area.
  • Gathering feedback through Health Check and other forums e.g. attending parish councils and SNAP meetings and scheduling forum with NNOPF to clarify what are the major concerns/issues.
  • Regular meetings with stakeholders e.g. Holt Community Centre, Holt Society etc to enable groups to voice concerns and have more effect on their area – encouraging and supporting the voluntary input into the community has enabled local residents to feel further empowered about their ability to effect change and make a positive difference to their community.
  • ‘In kind’ added value is a requirement of all Community Projects supported through the Community Chest Grants and this has also increased the amount of community engagement across the area.
  • The context of various levels of priorities (NNCP, NNDC, NCC) informs Holt Area Partnership Action Planning and ensures project outcomes link to priorities in the area.

Leverage of new grants into the area since Holt Area Partnership began in 2006 is over £200,000. Core funding over the same period has been approximately £100,000.
